I’m sure you have ideas about how to answer the question. Write whatever comes to mind. If you listen to our ideas then you won’t sound like yourself, and colleges don’t like fake people.
If you can’t answer those questions for yourself, you are not a good candidate for a scholarship. Not being rude, just being honest.
You will stand out by being yourself and answering honestly. If you must ask people on Y! answers, maybe you are not the best candidate for a scholarship that requires original thought. A strong answer will involve a positive description of yourself and specific goals for your education. People want to know who their money is going to and how it will be used.
Tell them about you, you life careers, and some of your hobbies. If you are in clubs in school tell them.
Tell them how far you are wanting to take your college education. Associates, Bachelors, Masters, Doctors???? Explain why you choose that college, where you will transfer to (if you are going to), what made you choose that degree, and what you want to do with the degree.
Explain to them why you need the money. Do you only have a part time job because of college? Do you have bills to pay? Do you pay rent? Always be honest incase they check into it.
Be sure that at the end you THANK them for reading it and for allowing you to be a candidate.
Good luck!
I would just follow that outline. I’m sorry but my essays turned out to be about 5 pages long so I can’t type it all here.
